The Pennsylvania Association of Career and Technical Education Special Populations is focused on students who have special needs and are enrolled in career and technical education programs.
Our members enjoy a professional network of facilitators, administrators, instructors, counselors, paraeducators and others. PACTESP leadership and members continue their impact through their on-going commitment to support for ALL students.
Who We Are
As a professional community in Pennsylvania, PACTESP members plan and conduct professional development activities for those who serve special populations students; identify practices that enhance programs and services for these students in career and technical education programs; share resources that support administrators, educators, and staff that facilitate the participation of special populations students in career and technical education programs; provide leadership in legislative matters that impact special populations and recognize the achievement of students, staff and service providers in career and technical education.

ASSIST PROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS
To assist professional educators to become more aware of the concerns of career and technical education students with special needs and with personnel who are working with these students.
PROVIDE LEADERSHIP IN LEGISLATIVE MATTERS
To provide leadership in legislative matters affecting career and technical education students with special needs.
DEVELOP A NETWORK OF COMMUNICATIONS
To develop a network of communication to enhance special needs program development throughout the state.

CHEERS TO 40 YEARS!
The 2017 Mid-Winter Conference marked the 40th anniversary of the Pennsylvania Association of Career and Technical Education Special Populations (PACTESP). At the “Cheers to 40 Years” celebration dinner, 15 Past Presidents shared some of their memories.
