Message From The President

Dear PACTESP Member:

As President of the Pennsylvania Association of Career and Technical Education Special Populations (P ACTESP), I am happy to welcome you to our Association and look forward to your active membership in PACTESP.

Over forty years ago, our Association was formed with the goal of supporting educators and others who felt passionate about providing support for students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) and assuring quality education for all students who seek career and technical education in the state of Pennsylvania. PACTESP remains committed to bringing together CTE professionals and others who share in a commitment to provide a qualityrich education to our students.

We serve our members by sharing best practices, motivating instructional methodologies, new and exciting research, and an opportunity for networking. We encourage you to explore our website, and visit us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedln. Please feel free to reach out to our Board members, read our newsletters, participate in our professional development opportunities, and nominate students and professionals for our annual awards. We welcome your active involvement and suggestions for ways to improve what our Association can do to help you in your professional development and growth. We encourage you to attend our annual conference. We also ask that you share your best practices so that we can share them with others. We also want you to feel comfortable reaching out for support that you may need in any way related to state and federal regulations related to special populations and CTE.

As you learn more about our membership, please share the value you’ve found as a member of PACTESP with your colleagues and encourage their participation in our Association. We all have many resources to share and together, we can make a difference in the lives of students, and in our communities.

Welcome to PACTESP. I look forward to meeting you and working together to provide quality educational experiences and learning opportunities for Pennsylvania’s CTE students!

Sincerely,

Michael J. McDermott
