OBJECTIVE
This award is intended to recognize a classroom teacher or a team of one teacher and one paraeducator teaching identified special populations students in a PDE-approved career and technical education program.

NOMINEE CRITERIA
The nominee(s) for this award should demonstrate the following criteria:

• Has a positive impact on the education of special populations students;
• Has the respect of peers, students, parents, and business/community members;
• Demonstrate professionalism and pride in their school and profession; and
• Has a passion for the promotion of career and technical education.

NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS
The PACTESP Board recognizes the personal dedication that is represented by each nomination. Following are the requirements for submission:

• The nominator must be a current PACTESP member.
• Each section in the nomination application must be answered in the space provided.
• The nominator should provide sufficient information for the review committee to evaluate the application fairly.
• One written Letter of Recommendation from a school administrator must be submitted with this application.

The nominator will provide information about the nominee(s) teaching methods, style, and strategies used in the classroom to instruct and support special populations students.

NOMINATOR INSTRUCTIONS
The nominator will provide the following information.

• Describe how the teacher or teacher/paraeducator team utilizes specially designed instruction or other instructional strategies to support special populations students in a career and technical education program.
• Describe how the nominee(s) inspires learning in students, their views of how students learn best, and their goals for educating special populations students.
• Describe specific examples of how the nominee(s) has provided a meaningful and supportive environment.
• Submit one written Letter of Recommendation from a school administrator. Additional supporting documentation may also be sent.
